Student Trip Fundraising

Each year, the Nottingham Marching Unit Parents Association offers the students many opportunities to earn credits to help defer the cost of a Marching Unit trip, such as the New York City trip (2011) or the Disney trip (2012). The students earn these credits through fundraising efforts. All fundraising is voluntary, but the more you and your student sell, the more credits your student receives.

In accordance with Marching Unit policy, credits in a student's account can only be used to offset that student's trip expenses, not those of other family members. However, if you earn more credits than are needed for this year's trip, you can apply them to next year's trip.

You can continue fundraising after your final trip payment is made. Any credits you earn after your final trip payment can either be used to offset check/cash payments you made for the trip, or they can be banked for a future trip.

Please note that orders will not be received or accepted after the due date for each event.

Cash payments will not be accepted. Please make a single check or money order for your student's fundraiser payable to NMUPA.

Please do not give orders for fundraisers to any of the directors, as they will not accept them.

Unit Fundraising

In addition to fundraising for student trips, the unit also fundraises through car washes, merchandise sales, the pasta dinner, and other events. Money raised through these activities helps to buy new equipment, pay for the unit banquet, and fund scholarships. These activities are announced on the home page and the calendars page as they are scheduled.

The Marching Unit Hall of Fame features student names painted on the walls of the music hall at Nottingham. You can have your student's name painted on a brick or block by filling out the Hall of Fame block order form. Small bricks cost $5.00 and cinder blocks cost $20. Proceeds benefit the Marching Unit.

Also, please drop off any used laser toner or ink jet cartridges in the NMUPA box in the NHS Library. Proceeds benefit the Marching Unit, and it helps the environment too!
